Holyrood Park is a Royal Park within Edinburgh. Nearby are the Scottish Parliament, Holyroodhouse Palace and the Queen's Gallery. The Salisbury Crags rise prominently and dramatically within Holyrood Park, a popular walk with tourists for the stunning views over Edinburgh from the top of them.Holyrood Park covers 650 acres, filled with hills, lochs, glens and ridges. It used to be called Queen's Park or King's Park in past times. The main peak in the park is Arthur's Seat, which rises to a height of 251m. Holyrood Park provides some fantastic walking and a great place to relax all within about a mile of the city centre and Edinburgh Castle.
