Sennen Cove settlement lies near the very tip of Cornwall, just a short walk from Lands End. It is still an active fishing community, but now most of the income comes from tourism, especially surfing and walking. Sennen Cove is reputed to have some of the best coastline in Cornwall, with Sennen Beach (Whitesands Beach) stretching north to Gwenvor.

Within the village is The Old Success Inn, a 17th century pub, a small hotel and the Round House and Capstan gallery, which lies just beyond the RNLI station. It was said that mermaids could be seen swimming in the water form time to time, which may have been attributed to dolphins, which can still be seen here today.

The South West Coast Path passes through Sennen Cove from Lands End, following the curve of the bay. On the way it passes the cliffs of Carn Barges and along Gwynver Beach to Aire Point via Tregiffian Vean Cliff.

In the other direction, between Sennen Bay and Lands End, the path passes an ancient cairn and a tumulus at the top of Mayon Cliff. From here you can see the Irish Lady, a rock in the sea that has claimed ships in the past. Beyond this are the remains of Maen Castle which stands above Castle Zawn overlooking the sea. Around here is also Brea, a solitary farmhouse, and the Chapel Carn Brea.

Train: St Ives Station and then drive.
Car: Sennen Cove is about 17 miles from St Ives (A30 and then Cove Road). It is 5 miles south of St Just, just over a mile from Sennen and 2 miles from Lands End hotel.
