The Chinese Garden MRT station is on the East West line of the Singapore MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) system. This is the stop for the Chinese Garden (Yu Hwa Yuan), with the Bonsai Garden and the The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum. You can clearly see the pagoda of the Chinese Garden in this image. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the station to the entrance of the gardens.

Chinese Garden station is typical of the MRT stations outside of Singapore city. The stations inside Singapore city are all underground, but once outside the city the MRT system is raise on stilts above the surrounding skyline.

The Chinese Garden are sometimes called the 'Jurong Gardens' after the area of Singapore in which they are found.
