Kennack Sands is close to Kuggar on the east side of the of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. It runs between Thorny Cliff and Green Saddle, and in the middle is is Caerverracks, a rocky outcrop which divides the beach into an east and west section. The Southwest Coast Path runs along the hills above the beach offering spectacular views of the Cornish countryside and out to sea.
East Kennack Sands is a designated nature reserve. The west beach is popular with surfers as the beach topography results in a long tidal range often producing 4 to 5 foot waves. Around Kuggar and Gwendreath Farm are several holiday caravan parks and camp sites. A number of bed and breakfast and holiday cottages are also found in the area.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: Kennack Sands Beach is about 0.6 miles from Kuggar. There is limited parking at the end of the track. Kuggar is 4 miles from The Lizard and 11 miles south of Helston.
