Jurong East is also known as the Jurong Interchange. It is the interchange between the East-West Line and the North-South Line, thus Jurong East may also be called the EW24 | NS1 station on the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) system map.Jurong East is one stop away from the Chinese Garden MTR station, the stop for those visiting the Chinese Garden (Yu Hwa Yuan), and the The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum.
From the Jurong East Interchange you can catch the North-South line north to the Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT Station (NS4), and from there take the 927 bus to Singapore Zoo and the Mandai Orchid Gardens.
