Lamorna Cove - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama showing a view over Lamorna Cove in Cornwall. This picture was taken on a very windy day, too windy to stand on the end of the sea wall without getting drenched by breaking waves.

Lamorna Cove is a very picturesque cove between Mousehole and St. Leven on the south coast of Cornwall. Associated with the hamlet of Lamorna, the region has long drawn artists and craftsmen, one of whom, Samuel John Birch, even renamed himself after the area, becoming Lamorna Birch. A list of Lamorna based artists through the years has been complied by the Lamorna Society. Around the cove are a small collection of cottages and a pub. It is basically unspoilt, making a great retreat and has a boat slipway.
Lamorna Cove lies at the end of a wooded valley fed by a stream. Perched on the hills overlooking the cove is a luxury self-catering home known as 'The Cove', which has an outdoor pool. Nearby Lamorna has a number of Bed and Breakfast places, like Castallack Farm and Rosemerryn, as well as a petrol station.
Lamorna Cove lies on the Southwest Coast Path, and for those walking along the coast from St Levan to Mousehole the small pub here offers a great place for a break.
