St. Joseph's Church - FURTHER INFORMATION

St. Joseph's Church - Singapore visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'St. Joseph's Church' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Singapore.

This panorama shows the outside of St. Joseph's Church in Singapore. The church was founded in the early 1800's by Francisco de Silva Male, closely associated to the Portuguese Mission and funded with a gift from the King of Portugal. The first building was pulled down in 1906 replaced by the current structure, which was completed in 1912.

St Josephs Church has a central octagonal tower capped with a dome, flanked by two other smaller towers. The whole courtyard of the church fills with people on Good Friday, with the overflow of worshipers filling the surrounding balconies. The interior is tastefully decorated in white and blue with stained glass windows.
