It has a long expanse of sand with some rocky ledges leading out to the sea. Platja de Migjorn o sa Trinxa competes with nearby Platja des Cavellet as the southernmost beach on Ibiza and near to the Ses Salines nature reserve. The surrounding area is undeveloped and unspoilt, wit no hotels or apartment blocks spoiling the coastline, though the Sa Palmera Ibiza finca hotel is nearby inland. As there are few amenities on the beach itself. This beach is very popular with locals.
Platja de Migjorn o sa Trinxa is a south facing, sandy beach between Punta de ses Ports and Sa Canal village. The area behind the beach is dominated by salt flats, which played an important part in the economy of Ibiza prior to the advent of tourism. It is frequented by nudists.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Road: From Ibiza town take the PM-801 to Sant Jordi and then the PM-802 past San Fransec and through the salt marshes.
