Both Es Pou des Lleó and Cala de Boix occupy bays on at the neck of a small peninsula on the southeaster end of Ibiza. Both these beaches are popular with locals, and not so frequented by tourists, lacking the proximity of beach hotels.

The area is also popular with walkers, who use both Cala de Biox and Pou des Lleo as launch points to explore the headland, visiting the tower of Torre d,en Valls on Punta d'en Valls next to Cala Negra and the panoramic viewpoint on Cap Roig.

Road: From Eivissa (Ibiza town) take the C-733 and then the PM-810 through Santa Eularia des Rui to Sant Calres des Paralta (San Carlos). From here follow signs to Cala de Boix.
