Google Map TvrdošínTvrdošín(Tvrdosin) Tvrdošín is a small mountain town in the Zilina region of Slovakia. The town is built on the confluence of the Orava and Oravica rivers, just 12km from the border with Poland, and was first mentioned in the 12th century Zobor Charter, when Tvrdošín was known as 'Toarsin' and 'Doardi'.Tvrdošín suffered badly during the anti-Habsburg uprisings of the 17th and 18th centuries, with armed forces continually moving across the territory and the town was almost destroyed by fire during this period.
