Patong Beach (หาดป่าตอง Haad Patong) is the most popular beach in Phuket. The beach runs for 2km along the shores of Patong and is mostly lined with hotels, bars, clubs and shops. Patong is one of the most developed parts of Phuket and the center of Phuket's nightlife.

The southern part of Patong Beach is a little quieter than the stretch near the heart of Patong itself. Here you will see numerous traditional fishing boats floating on the water. Cruises around the bay depart from the jetty. The beach is still lined with the countless sunbeds ubiquitous to many of the beaches in Phuket.

Patong Beach is within walking distance of countless hotels, those closer to the beach are often the more expensive.

Car: Patong is about 30km south of Phuket International Airport. Transit times of about 45 minutes. There is parking along the beach, but spaces are limited.
Bus: Regular buses connect with Phuket Town, from where there are buses to the rest of Thailand.
