Patong Beach (หาดป่าตอง Haad Patong) is one of the longer beaches on Phuket with over 2km of sandy beach lining the western edge of Patong. the northern end of the beach terminates with rocky outcrops jutting out to sea. Just to the north is Ao Patong and Kalim Beach.
Patong Beach is the most developed part of Phuket. The area has over 100 hotels and hostels, luxury hotels and is the center of night life, full of restaurants, bars, clubs and nightclubs. It can feel that Patong Beach never sleeps, with people spilling out onto it late into the night. Just to the north are Ao Patong and Kalim Beach.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: Patong is about 30km south of Phuket International Airport. Transit times of about 45 minutes. There is parking along the beach, but spaces are limited.
Bus: Regular buses connect with Phuket Town, from where there are buses to the rest of Thailand.
