Kata Nio Beach lies just south of Kata Beach on the southwest of Phuket. It is much quieter and less developed than Kata Beach and at the southern end there is great snorkelling as the coral here was relatively undamaged by the recent tsunami that devastated the coral on many of Phuket's beaches.

The northern end of Kata Nio Beach is dominated by the 5-star Kata Thani Hotel. Nearby is also the 5-star Mom Tri's Villa Royale and Mom Tri's Kitchen, which is a very good restaurant.

Car: Kata Nio Beach is 14km south of Patong Beach on the 423 and 18km from Mueng Phuket.
