Bang Bae Waterfall - Phuket visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Bang Bae Waterfall' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from South Thailand.

Bang Bae Waterfall (also known as Bang Pae) is one of several notable waterfalls in Phuket that have become tourist attractions. The flow of the waterfall is very much dependant on the season. The waterfall is in Khao Phra Thaeo National Park, 22 kilometers north of Phuket Town on the way to the airport.

None of the waterfalls in Phuket are that large, Bang Bae Waterfall is 18m high, dropping into a plunge pool often used for bathing. The waterfalls are worth visiting as a break from the beaches, and on the way to Bang Bae you can visit both the Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre and an Elephant Village.

Also within the park is Ton Sai waterfall, though this is best walked into from Thalang on the other side oft he park.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE

Car: Park at the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project and then walk into the waterfall (20 minutes).
