Bang Rong Pier - FURTHER INFORMATION

Bang Rong Pier is the departure point for ferries from Phuket to Kho Yoe Noi island. The pier is on the estuary of the Khong Bang Rong, a river on the eastern side of Phuket. About 5 passenger ferries depart each day between 09:30 to 17:00 and the journey takes about an hour.
This is well off the tourist track, and a far cry from the beaches of Phuket, but gives a different insight to life on the island. Nearby is an Elephant Village on the main road, and from there a track leads up to the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project and Bang Bae Waterfall in Khao Phra Thaeo National Park.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: Take the 4027 northwest from the Heorines Monument on the 402 and then follow signs to the pier once past Bang Pae and Bang Rong villages.
