The Scottish Parliament Building stands at the eastern end of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, opposite the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Queen's Gallery, both popular tourist attractions in Edinburgh. The Parliament Building, built to reflect the geology and geography of Scotland, is also next to Holyrood Park and is overlooked by Salisbury Crags, a popular walking spot with fantastic panoramic views over the city.
