Euston Station is a major underground (tube) and railway station in central London, close to some of the major London attractions, surrounded by hotels and within walking distance of the Eurostar station at St Pancras. Mainline services from Euston Station serve many cities in the north and west, operated by First Scotrail, London Midland, London Overground and Virgin Trains. There are direct trains from here to Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Northampton in northern England and to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen in Scotland.
Euston station is within easy distance of numerous hotels, from the luxurious Hotel Russell in Russell Square and Novotel London St Pancras Hotel next to the British Library to the budget Premier Travel Inn Euston Hotel and Hotel Ibis Euston practically next to the station itself.
Just outside the entrance to Euston Station are several coffee shops and stalls selling hot and cold snacks as well as some seating. Inside the station are the usual collection of fast food outlets, food and refreshment stands and various other shops selling books, magazines and travel items.
Euston Station is very busy in the rush hour, with thousands of people passing coming into London in the morning for work and then returning home again in the evening.
