Prince of Wales Dock - FURTHER INFORMATION
Prince of Wales Dock - Edinburgh visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Prince of Wales Dock' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Lothian.
The Prince of Wales Docks lie at the mouth of the Water of Leith in Edinburgh. They are one of the most significant areas of dockside heritage which would provide an essential link between proposed new developments and The Shore and heart of Leith. The dock is close to the Royal Yacht Britannia attraction, The Shore and Customs Wharf.
Prince of Wales Dock are linked to Albert Dock and Western Harbour. The docks are owned and managed by Forth Ports PLC, who have their offices in 1 Prince of Wales Dock. Other businesses based at the Prince of Wales Dock area include Ocean Terminal Limited, French Connection Group and Herbal Inn.
The proposed urban refurbishment proposals, which cover the entire Edinburgh Port area indicate that either a boutique hotel or luxury residential flats would be built on Prince of Wales Dock while retaining ship access and floating some barges here.
