Nolt Loan Road lies at the northern end of Shore in next to the Port of Leith in Edinburgh. The cobbled plaza is closed to traffic, surrounded by luxury flats, a hotel and facing the Water of Leith. On the square is the boutique Malmaison Mal Edinburgh Hotel, housed in a converted Seaman's mission building, and new, luxury Nolt Loan Flats.
