Cap d'Artrutx is a cape on the south-western corner of Menorca (Minorca) on which stands the Cap d'Artrutx lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1859, and modified in 1970. The red and white lighthouse tower is 111m high and provides vital guidance to boats and ships rounding this point of Menorca during the night. It also acts as a good guide to craft heading in and out of the port at Son Xoriguer, not more than 1km away.
To the right of the lighthouse is Punta des Bregarol. The coastline of this part of Meorca is dramatic with steep cliffs dropping into the sea. Cap d'Artrutx is lined with holiday apartments and villas. Nearby are Son Xoriguer marina and Cala en Bosc making it a very popular holiday destination, especially for those interested in boating.
