Browns Beach is, along with Pondalowie Bay, one of the two good swimming beaches with in Innes National Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. As mentioned by the photographer, the beach is also popular for fishing, especially in the winter months. There is camping accommodation at Browns Beach campground, which pit toilets. Visitors are asked to refrain from walking on the sand dunes to protect the fragile ecosystem.
Brown Beach has a good lagoon, suitable for catching salmon, and a Deep Hole where mullet can be caught. The salmon often approach the lagoon from the north, swimming south through the Deep Hole before leaving the beach again.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: Brown Beach is about 22km from Stenhouse Bay. Much of the road along the length is sealed. It is a short, but steep, walk from the car park to the beach itself.
