Spice Shop near Sampheng Market - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama shows the inside of a spice and herb shop on Thanon Chakkrawat, near to the Soi Sampheng market. It was full of amazing smells, spices and preserved creatures from all over the place, and was quite busy.

Thanon Chakkrawat links Yaowarat Road with Phra Pok Klao Bridge over the river. This is cuts through the middle of Chinatown in Bangkok. The street is very busy, lined with shops and quite congested. The spice shop shown in this picture is but one of the traditional shops serving the Chinese community alongside other general high street shops.
At the southern end of Chakkrawat Road is Wat Chakrawat, a Buddhist temple containing the Wihan Buddha image, and Wat Bophitphimuk, a second grade royal temple of Worahiharn. Part way up, and much more of an attraction to tourists, is Soi Sampheng market, full of various stalls along a very narrow lane packed with shoppers.
