The Piazza San Bernardo in Rome is probably best known for the Fountain of Moses (fontana del Moses). The official name for this fountain is the 'Fontana dell'acqua Felice'. It is the 'display', or end, of the Felice aqueduct, the point at which the aqueduct terminates. The fountain has become known as the Fountain of Moses because of the large statue of Moses in the middle alcove of the fountain.
Around Piazza San Bernardo are three notable churches - San Bernardo alle Terme, Santa Susanna and, lastly, Santa Maria della Vittoria, where you can see the Ecstasy of Theresa by Bernini which was popularized in Dan Brown's novel Angels and Demons.
The Piazza San Bernardo also forms the junction of three 'Rione' or districts of Rome, and each of the three churches stands in a different one. Santa Susanna is in Rioni Trevi, San Bernardo alle Terme is in Rioni Castro Pretorio, and S Maria della Vittoria is in Rioni Sallustiano.
From here the Via Torino heads south to the church of Santa Maria Maggiore.
