Suan Lum Night Bazaar is a popular tourist attraction in Bangkok. Close to Lumphini Park and Patong, it first opened in 2001 and today draws thousands of visitors. Within the Bazaar are stalls selling gifts, clothing, jewellery, fruit, compact discs, hand-made products like tapestries and fine arts, such as paintings and sculptures. These open at 5pm till midnight. There is also a large beer garden and various restaurants with both indoor and outdoor dining.
The Bazaar also contains Bangkok Hall (previously known as BEC-TERO Hall) which has a capacity of 6,000 and used for concerts. The Joe Louis Puppet Theatre, a traditional Thai puppet theatre which gives performances of Ramakien, Thailand's national epic, is also found here. Aside from the market, Suan Lum Night Bazaar is also known for the Ferris Wheel, another popular attraction in it's own right.
