The chapel of St. Anthony, in Saas Balen, was built in 1692, in devotion to St. Anthony and was restored between 1982 and 1984.

St. Anthony was born in 1195 in Lisbon, Portugal and died in Padova, Italy on June 13, 1231. Saint Anthony of Lisbon or Saint Anthony of Padua is most popular Catholic Saints, being celebrated on 13 June, also in Saas Balen.
