Man o'War Cove - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

Panorama taken from the end of the land spit curving out into Man o'War bay near Durdle Door in Dorset. It was a precarious ledge, and slippery to get to, but gives a good view along the coastline to Lulworth Cove.

Man o'War Cove - FURTHER INFORMATION

Man o'War Cove - Lulworth visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Man o'War Cove' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Dorset.

Man o'War cove lies between Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. This area is very popular in the summer months, being on the Southwest Coast Path and part of a World Heritage Site. It is possible to walk along the coastline between here and Lulworth at low tide.

The headland from which this picture was taken is Jurassic, Portland Stone (marine oolite) and basal Purbeck Caps (stromatolitic and pelloidal limestones). The layers have been tilted to nearly vertical. The back of the bay is formed by chalk cliffs.
