La Zurriola Beach / Kursaal Palace - San Sebastian visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'La Zurriola Beach / Kursaal Palace' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Basque Country.
La Zurriola Beach (Playa La Zurriola), next to Playa de Gros, is the newest beach in San Sebastian. Unlike the curved beach around La Concha Bay, La Zurriola faces the open sea and is popular with surfers. Along the back of the beach is a promenade lined with bars and cafes and forming a stunning backdrop is the glass Kursaal Palace and Auditorium, built in 1999.
At the eastern end of La Zurriola Beach a path leads up Monte Ulia, popular for the panoramic views visible over San Sebastian from the top. At the western end the Zurriola Bridge crosses Urumea river linking the beach to the rest of the town, near to the point from which this panoramic image was taken.
