Port Lincoln with a population of 14,000 is a major commercial centre on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The town claims to be the Seafood Capital of Australia and overlooks Boston Bay.
Port Lincoln is an ideal base to explore the coast with footprint free beaches and the hinterland of Eyre Peninsula. The town has supermarkets, department stores, galleries, a wide range of accommodation, restaurants and food outlets.
Tours are offered to swim with tuna and seals or experience cage diving to see white sharks. The coast offers many opportunities to catch some fish and when nothing bites the local fish shops can help out with a daily catch.
Lincoln National Park and Coffin Bay National Park are close to Port Lincoln offering walking tracks, 4WD tracks, beaches and many campsites to enjoy what nature has to offer on the lower Eyre Peninsula.
