Fort Canning Park Visitor Centre - FURTHER INFORMATION
Fort Canning Park Visitor Centre - Singapore visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Fort Canning Park Visitor Centre' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Singapore.
This panoramic image shows Fort Canning Centre in Fort Canning Park. The Centre was originally a barracks for the British Army until it left Singapore in 1971. It then served time as a restaurant and sports centre until 1989 when it was renovated by the National Parks Board to become a performing arts centre.
Fort Canning Centre today also houses a cookery school who unfortunately do not serve the public. There are also a couple of exhibitions giving some of the history of Fort Canning.
Fort Canning Park covers most of the hill that surrounds Fort Canning Reservoir. The Reservoir is strictly off limits to all members of the public. The park is best known for the remains of the old gate to the fort and the 'Battle Box'.
