This panorama shows the interior of the Palais Attem, one of the hidden gems within Graz. Tucked away off a street, but open to the public. The ceilings are beautifully painted.

Palais Attems is a hidden, historic gem in the heart of Graz. It was built around 1702 by Ignaz Maria Graf Attems and remained in the Attems family until 1962 when it was transferred into the hands of the state. Very little about the building was altered over that time.
As a result, Palais Attems is decorated with fine Baroque frescoes and stucco ornamented façades on the inside and outside. All of the rooms are similarly decorated with stucco and frescoes.
This picture shows the grand staircase, and shows why Palais Attems is worth a detour while wondering around Graz. It is very close to the Murinsel and Hauptplatz.
