Kingston SE lies on the coast at the southeastern end of Encounter Bay and the Coorong in South Australia. The town is named after the Australian architect George Strickland Kingston and was founded in the middle of the 19th century. The main industries are fishing, winemaking, livestock. It is popular with tourists and has a number of pubs and hotels. Kingston SE also boasts the award winning 'Macs Takeaway' which has twice won awards as the best fish and chip shop in Australia.

Car: Kingston SE is about 300km south of Adelaide and 220km south of Murray Bridge (B1). It is 160km north of Mt Gambier (B1) and 44km north of Robe (B101).
