Pargas (Parainen) Harbour lies to the south of Pargas and Länsi-Turunmaa on the Turku archipelago in Finland. The area is known for it's lime works and has the largest limestone quarry in Finland which has continually mined Limestone since the 1300's. The history of the region is in the District Museum and the Industrial Museum, with the buildings of the town bearing living testament to the use of limestone.
During the summer, the region is popular for fishing and sailing. There is a guest harbour in the heart of the town, adjacent to which are various restaurants, bars, hotels and a mini golf course. Nearby is an 18-hole golf course.
During the winter, as shown in this image, the harbour freezes over. Pargas is on the Archipelago Trail, a circular route that takes in twelve bridges and eight cable ferries at it travels around the islands of the archipelago.
