Streaky Bay - FURTHER INFORMATION
Streaky Bay - Streaky Bay visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Streaky Bay' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from South Australia.
The small town of Streaky Bay in South Australia was proclaimed in 1872. It lies 727 kilometres north-west of Adelaide on the western coastline of Eyre Peninsula. The town is on a stretch of fascinating coastline changing between long pristine sandy beaches and rugged cliffs. Besides beaches and The town features a range of accommodation, shops and a museum for travellers. It was named for the streaky appearance in the water which is caused by natural oils released by the kelp and not, as first thought, by a river flowing into the bay.
