Venus Bay is a small seaside town on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula, located on a narrow peninsula overlooking Venus Bay and its islands. The sheltered waters provide a great location for watersports and fishing. Nearby beaches exposed to the Great Australian Bight are a playground for surfers.

This picture shows the pristine beach and jetty at Venus Bay on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The jetty is a popular fishing spot with whiting, salmon, garfish, snook, tommy ruff, flathead and gummy shark often being caught. The town has a strong history with fishing and is popular with tourists in the summer. The waters of Venus Bay are clear and calm, ideal for sailing, swimming and other water sports.
