Oxhey Park is a County Wildlife Site and nature reserve next to the river Colne in Watford. The park has amenity grassland and scattered trees with a substantial bed of grasses and reeds next to the river. Within the park, near to Bushey Arches, is the Dell, which has a small woodland of ash, sycamore, elm and horse chestnut. Events in Oxhey park are often held by the Friends of Oxhey park in the summer, when bats can often be seen at dusk.
