Raffles Landing Site has a statue of Sir Stamford Raffles, at the place where he is thought to have landed in Singapore on 29 January 1819. This is a polymarble copy of the original which used to stand here but is now found in front of the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall nearby.
There are a cluster of important buildings in the Civic District of Singapore nearby, including the City Hall, Supreme Court, Parliament House and the Asian Civilisations Museum.
