Elliston Jetty - FURTHER INFORMATION
Elliston Jetty - Elliston visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Elliston Jetty' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from South Australia.
The heritage listed jetty at Elliston extends into Waterloo Bay on the eastern side of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. It was built in 1900 for the shipping of wheat and wool from the area. The jetty is only one of the three jetties constructed of steel pylons being screwed into the seabed by horse-drawn winch. The jetty is good for fishing of catches of tommies, garfish, squid and trevally but the warning sign for sharks might deter from swimming at the sandy beaches.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: Elliston and Waterloo Bay are near the junction of the B100 and B91 roads, 169 km northwest of Port Lincoln and 641 km west of Adelaide. The jetty is about 2km north of the town, next to Elliston Caravan Park.
