The small village of Dadswells Bridge in Victoria, Australia is best known of the Giant Koala restaurant and tourist complex. This, as the name suggests, is in the shape of a massive, at 14m high koala effigy, which towers over all the other buildings in the village as well as the surrounding trees. The Giant Koala is weighs 12 tonnes and is made of bronze set on a steel frame. It was designed and sculpted by Mr Ben Van Zetton in 1988 and is the one and only tourist attraction in the village.
Dadswells Bridge is next to William Creek and named after the engineer T.W. Dadswell who built the bridge. The village is the gateway to the northern Grampians, the turn-off to Roses Gap is less then 1km east of the bridge. A short distance to the west is Lake Lonsdale.
