Chiesa di Santa Felicita (Church of Saint Felicity) is one of the oldest churches in Florence (Firenze). It stands just north of Piazza and Palazzo Pitti and south of Ponte Vecchio. Christianity is thought to have been brought to Florence in the 2nd century by Syrian Greek merchants and the first church on this site dates from the 4th century or early 5th century, dedicated to Saint Felicity of Rome. This early church was replaced during the 11th century and the current building mostly dates from the 18th century.
