Quatermile One, sometimes called Q1 or Quatermile 1, is the first of 4 new office developments in Lauriston Place, Edinburgh. Built on the site of the old Edinburgh Royal Infirmary (ERI), Quartermile is one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Scotland.

Occupying the 19 acre site are state of the art offices, shops, restaurants and housing, the new development establishes a new community in the heart of the city. A third of the site is green space and the site cost some £350M to develop. The plan provides 300,000 sq ft (27,870 sq m) of premium office space, 100,000 sq ft (9,292 sq m) of retail space and more than 900 apartments.

As the name suggests, Quatermile is a quarter of a mile across. Some of the housing at Quartermile occupies converted Victorian medical blocks. These have been tastefully converted into luxury accommodation, with high ceilings and period windows and fully equipped to high standards. Many of the apartments offer beautiful views over The Meadows and Salisbury Crags
