Panorama from inside St. Andrew's Cathedral in Singapore. Inside this Gothic church are 4 stained glass windows with floral designs. The walls are made of 'Madras chaunam' plaster, which is a composite of egg whites, shell lime and sugar rubbed smooth with lumps of rock crystal. This method of finishing interiors was common in 1860, when St. Andrew's Cathedral was built.
St. Andrew's Cathedral became a National Monument of Singapore in 1973. The church sometimes runs the Alpha Course.
St. Andrew's Cathedral is on the west side of the Padang, just over the road from the City Hall.
