St. Andrew's Cathedral - Grounds - Singapore visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'St. Andrew's Cathedral - Grounds' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Singapore.
Panorama of At. Andrew's Cathedral in Singapore from the outside within the grounds. The cathedral building itself is closely surrounded by trees, making it very hard to get a clear view of the structure. At the time of shooting this panoramic, there was also a large marquee in the grounds.
St Andrew's Cathedral was first built in 1836, but demolished after lightning strikes in 1845 and 1849 made the previous structure unsafe. The current building, erected in 1856, uses Gothic Revival elements with a tall spire and four stained glass windows over the entrance depicting the four gospel writers.
There is another panoramic image taken from inside St. Andrew's Cathedral. The tall tower to the right of the cathedral belongs to Raffles City.
St. Andrew's Cathedral became a National Monument of Singapore in 1973. The church sometimes runs the Alpha Course.
St. Andrew's Cathedral is on the west side of the Padang, just over the road from the City Hall.
