It has recently been declared a National Heritage Site by the Singapore Government and has been renamed CHIJMES (pronounced 'chimes').
Central to CHIJMES is the Gothic style chapel. The area around is now a popular dining, shopping and entertainment site. The chapel is now known as CHIJMES Hall and provides a great setting for musicals, recitals, theatrical performances and weddings.
CHIJMES is a short walk away from the Singapore Art Museum.
