Choa Chu Kang is on the North-South line of the Singapore MRT, designated NS4.The transit system in Singapore is split into the 'Mass Rapid Transit' (MRT) system and a series of 'Light Rapid Transit' (LRT) systems that branch from it. Outside of Singapore City, the MRT runs on suspended tracks around the rest of Singapore, giving the traveler a bird's eye view as you travel around the island.
In this panoramic image you can see the single carriage train of the Bukit Panjang Light Rapid Transit, which serves the Bukit Panjang area of Singapore, just leaving the Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT Interchange.
From here the NS line continues south to the Jurong East Interchange (NS1/EW24), which is one stop away from the Chinese Garden MTR station (EW25), the stop for those visiting the Chinese Garden (Yu Hwa Yuan), and the The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum.
The Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange is just outside the MRT/LTR interchange, and from here you can get the 927 bus to Singapore Zoo and the Mandai Orchid Gardens.
