Stringers Highway runs for about 120km roughly north/south through Pinkawillinie Conservation Park and then up the northern edge of Gawler Ranges National Park in South Australia. The southern end leaves the A1 Eyre Highway just east of Koongawa and the northern end joins up with Minnepa Yardea Road which then heads back southwest through the middle of Gawler Ranges itself.
Pinkawillinie Conservation Park covers about 132,000 hectares and full of native flora and fauna. The most popular attraction in the park is a large granite outcrop near the edge. 4-wheel drive vehicle recommended for this route.
Further north from here lie Lake Acramah, Lake Gairdner and Lake Gairdner National Park.
