The Maghain Aboth Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in both Singapore and Southeast Asia. The synagogue was first built here in 1878 and continues to be used by the small Jewish community of Singapore.
Just up the road from the Maghain Aboth Synagogue is Sculpture Square. The [563,[Church of St. Peter and St. Paul]] stands over the road, but entrance to this church is on Queen Street.
