Dimboola, a small town in the Wimmera region of Victoria is the eastern gateway to the Little Desert. The town which was made famous by Jack Hibberds play -Dimboola- features historical buildings and antique and craft shops, the annual Wimmera German Fest and a Rowing Regatta. The town is situated on the banks of the Wimmera River. The nearby Little Desert National Park is well known as a living wilderness for camping, bushwalking, waterskiing, fishing, rowing, canoeing and desert sunset.

Apex Park (Bi Centennial Community Park) is one of the attractions in Dimboola, a small town in the Wimmera region of Victoria in Australia. Set near the banks of the Wimmera River, the park contains an old J-class, oil burning locomotive built in Lancashire, England in 1954. There are also picnic and barbecue facilities.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Walk: Apex park is located at the southern end of High Street (C227 Dimboola-Warracknabeal road) about 750m from Dimboola Station.
Road: Dimboola is on the A8 (Western Highway) 36km north of Horsham, 34km east of Nihill. It is 70km south of Rainbow and 41km southwest of Warracknabeal.
Train: Dimboola railway station (Overland service 3x per week)
