The Glasgow Science Centre complex is one of the top tourist attractions in Glasgow, awarded 5-star attraction status by VisitScotland. Based on the south side of the River Clyde on Pacific Quay it attracts thousands of visitors each year with hundreds of different science exhibits and events.
Next to the Glasgow Science Centre is the Glasgow Tower, the tallest rotating structure in the world, some 127m high with a viewing platform at the top offering panoramic views over the city. The complex also contains the only IMAX cinema in Scotland.
Glasgow Science Centre is next to Festival Park, not far from Rangers Football Club and Stadium. On the opposite side of the river is the Clyde Auditorium, the Tall Ship attraction and Glasgow City Heliport.
