Schlossberg - Graz visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Schlossberg' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Styria.
The Graz Schlossberg (Schloßberg) dominates the center of the city and is one of the main attractions in the city. On the top used to be a castle (Schlossberg = Castle Mountain), but this was mostly destroyed by the Napoleonic forces in 1809 after the Treaty of Schönbrunn signed in Vienna. Schlossberg was turned into a public park in 1839, and has remained popular with visitors ever since.
With a top height of 375m above sea level, the top of the Schlossberg give fantastic panoramic views over Graz. Visitors can get to the top either by various walking paths, a lift from Schlossbergplatz or a funicular from Kaiser Franz Josef Kai.
On the top of Schloßberg are the Grazer Uhrturm, several restaurants, Lion Viewpoint, Cannon Battery and viewpoint, a Chinese Pagoda and the Schloßberg Theatre.
