The funicular is a popular way to get up the in . Running up the steep, western face of Schlossberg from Kaiser Franz Josef Kai, visitors are greeted with an ever expanding view over the city.
The Schloßberg is one of the top tourist attractions in Graz, at the top is the famous Grazzer Uhrturm (Clocktower), one of the iconic landmarks of Graz. Also at the top are a couple of restaurants, Chinese Pagoda, theatre, canon battery and various panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Bus: Schlossbergbahn (Sackstraße) (N5, SE5).
Tram: Schlossbergbahn (Sackstraße) (4, 5, 12) and then funicular.
Walk: The funicular is about 500m from Hauptplatz and the Graz Tourist Information Centre.
